Simon attended the Liverpool screening of Jimmy McGovern’s upcoming BBC drama ‘REG’ starring Tim Roth this week. The film tells the true story of Reg Keys who took on the Prime Minister in the 2005 elections after his son was killed in the Iraq War. It is a powerful film with a superb performance by Tim Roth in the lead role. A Q&A with Reg Keys and the production team followed the screening plus a performance from the Flint Male Voice Choir who feature in the film.
It is already making history after the BBC have decided to move the 9 o’clock News for the film to be screened on 6th June 2016.
The film was produced by LA Productions with Colin McKeown as Executive Producer and features an original score by the brilliant composer Edward Shearmur.
